Winter Solstice Celebration
Move, breathe, meditate, reflect, release...and celebrate the return to light.
Enjoy a cosy practice by candlelight of smooth and grounding mellow flow, yin, pranayama, meditation and reflection designed to help you connect and work with the beautiful power of this time of year.
At the heart of Winter we are invited to nurture and nourish our energy and to reflect and look inward. This practice allows the space for that in a warm and nurturing environment. You'll be invited to notice what's happening inside and to gratefully release anything that is no longer serving you, to make room to welcome in the new as we move towards the lighter days to come.
Round out the afternoon with chai, light snacks and chats before moving into your evening a little lighter, brighter and more centred.

Kids Yoga Workshops
Dune Folk offers a range of age appropriate Kids Yoga Workshops over the holidays to help your little love live joyfully and thrive.
Incorporating yoga poses, games, breathing, relaxation and hands on activities, these workshops are designed to share the many benefits of yoga in a relevant way to young people and most importantly in a fun, safe and welcoming environment.
Sessions are ran by Blair, a qualified school and yoga teacher and take place at the Lakeroom in Ocean Grove.
Workshop numbers are capped to 12 to ensure that each child receives plenty of attention and will rely on numbers to run. If you book and the workshop doesn't go ahead your payment will be fully refunded.
This upcoming school holidays, all of the workshops are designed around the theme of GRATITUDE.

YOGI BEARS WORKSHOP (3-4 years)
With a focus on fun and play, Yogi Bears will use the tools of yoga in the form of games, books and adventure stories to help them find gratitude for the many wonderful things that make up their full lives. We notice how it feels when we're thankful and build our yoga toolkit with techniques for cultivating joy and peace in our lives. Yogi Bears will leave with reminders of their practice so that they can take their yoga off the mat and into their lives.
Thursday July 4th ~ 9-10am
MINI YOGIS WORKSHOP (5-8 years)
While mini yogis are continuing to discover this big wide world, we explore how yoga and the practice of gratitude can help them to live happier and more positive lives. Through poses, breathing techniques, games, books and activities we continue to uncover ways that yoga can restore calm when we feel unsettled and practical techniques to incorporate daily yoga practices for a greater sense of happiness and ease. Yogis will leave with reminders of their practice so that they can take their yoga off the mat and into their lives.
Thursday July 4th ~ 10-11:15am
YOGI TWEENS WORKSHOP (9-12 years)
Through asana (poses), breathing, games, activities and partner play we explore how the teachings of yoga and gratitude can help us to navigate the at times challenging years of upper primary school and leading into secondary school. We look at gratitude as an antidote to comparison and enjoy discovering just how blessed we really are. Yogis leave with reminders of their practice and ways to cultivate a daily gratitude ritual to benefit them long into the future.
